I get asked all the time as to what it takes to be successful and in most cases it comes down to 1 thing! Now before I get to that, I know many people are going to say its your product, your service, the market, the economy, your geographic location, timing in the market and a couple dozen other things. And while these are technically right to a point, it’s not the most important thing!

Most people don’t realize that success is not easy, it does not come over night, it’s a process that takes time. Now as in everything in life, there are exceptions to this rule. But remember an exception to the rule means that 1% or less have quick or immediate success and in many of those cases their success is short lived and does not last very long.

So what is the key ingredient to success with any product, service, opportunity or venture you choose to undertake. As Vince Lombardi (one of the greatest coaches in the history of professional football) once said: ” the Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you’re willing to pay the price.”

My friends, truer words have never been spoken and the proof lies in any success story you see today. Look at any big successful company today, Microsoft, Apple and Dell to name a few and then go to people like actors, actresses, athletes, they have all paid a price to achieve success in their lives.

Now comes the biggest part of achieving success in your life and it goes directly to how you view life and how you live your life on a daily basis. We can live life and plod along like most people do; watching the clock at work wanting to go home and drink a beer or watch tv, hating your job and hoping the weekend comes real soon, most of you know what I mean.

Or you can LIVE life to it’s fullest and again to quote Vince Lombardi: “I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious”.

Now I know many of you will say that’s insane or the coach almost killed Brock or that doesn’t look like fun, it looks like torture. Just like we have the glass half-full or glass half-empty philosophy, this philosophy if  implemented in your life will change not only the way you approach things and life in general, but will have an immediate and lasting impact on the success you achieve in life. It doesn’t matter what you do, what your business or job is, what your industry is, where you live geographically, your age, race, religion, none of that matters!

Brock learned an important lesson in life, that are major keys to massive success in life and in business; DON”T GIVE UP and GIVE YOUR VERY BEST in everything you do! If you learn these lessons like Brock did, I will make you a guarantee!
